List of government agencies currently requiring BIM?

  • GSA - The GSA were the first large owner to mandate BIM on there construction projects. Based on the successful implementation of various BIM pilot projects, GSA has been requiring BIM since 2007.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - The USACE have also been very active in the implementation of BIM since 2006. The USACE BIM Road Map (ERDC-TR-06-10) is a document which outlines the implementation of BIM on all USACE military and civil works projects.
  • U.S. Air Force - The USAF have been active in there implementation of BIM and currently have an Attachment F outlining these requirements.
